Homeopathy
I am a qualified homeopath with a background in both the sciences and humanities. I have worked in private general practice for over 26 years, and at two specialist clinics: a children's clinic, and an immune deficiency clinic alongside doctors and other health professionals.
I trained at the College of Homeopathy in London, and I’m registered with the Alliance of Registered Homeopaths (www.a-r-h.org).
I treat all age groups, and all illnesses.
Allergy Therapy
I am a qualified Allergy Therapist with over 20 years’ experience. I am registered with the British Institute for Allergy and Environmental Therapy (BInstAT). I do not just do allergy tests and leave people with the results. I value:
A holistic and in-depth approach to allergy and toxicity issues
Effective testing and treatment options
Clear and helpful explanations and advice – a way forwards
What follows is a summary of what I do and what you can expect from a consultation.
For more in-depth information on allergy, including typical symptoms of allergy and intolerance, and the testing and treatment methods I practise, please visit The Allergy Clinic (UK) at www.theallergyclinic.co.uk
Do you think you might have Allergies, Intolerances or Toxicity issues?
Food and environmental sensitivities are the cause (or part cause) of many common health problems, and these can be identified and remedied by allergy testing and treatment. Conditions include hay fever, eczema and asthma; also fatigue, weight gain and IBS, and many more.
The 'Bigger Picture':
During your consultation we will discuss your health and wellbeing in some depth. Many people with allergies have underlying issues which predispose them to react to things in an allergic way. Together we will consider your diet and eating habits, home and work environments, the impact of common toxins, lifestyle and stress factors, and so on.
The 'big picture' for you will provide the context for evaluating the results of your allergy test, and for the treatment and advice you'll receive.
Testing Methods and Treatments:
You will be tested for a range of allergies. The method used is Diagnostic Kinesiology (sometimes referred to as ‘muscle testing’), a safe and non-invasive approach which is both accurate and versatile. It is ideal for children, including babies, as well as adults.
Additionally, if it looks like there are significant food sensitivities, a Diagnostic Elimination Diet is usually recommended. This takes the diagnostic process one step further and helps to confirm the results of kinesiology testing.
Laboratory Tests are also available (at additional cost), but these are only required in exceptional circumstances. They include blood and stool tests to further evaluate immune response and gut health. Used individually or in combination, the above tests will provide an accurate picture of your allergy status. The aim of testing and treatment is twofold: firstly, to reduce the toxic load in your body, and secondly, to strengthen your immune response to offending allergens. Health is restored (as required) by means of detoxification, attention to diet and to gut health, homeopathic allergy desensitisation, and nutritional medicines.
Self-Inquiry
I am a registered Psycho-Spiritual Counsellor with over 14 years client experience. I am registered with the Interfaith Ministers Association (RIMA), having trained at the OneSpirit Interfaith Foundation in London 15 years ago (www.interfaithfoundation.org). The OneSpirit slogan is ‘Many Ways, One Truth.’
How I help
The primary focus of my work is to help people find out who they are, and to be authentically themselves in the world, happy and fulfilled. My approach is intuitive, engaged, and compassionate. I work with people from all backgrounds and beliefs (or none), including children.
I help people who feel something important is missing in their lives, who would love to know who they really are and what they really want. You may lack direction and purpose, suffer from doubt and low self-esteem, have ongoing relationship issues, or be dissatisfied with your work. You may have experienced loss, trauma or abuse and find yourself struggling to recover. Perhaps you’re still suffering even after trying ‘everything’.
All stories are welcome, as is your willingness to grow.
What is Self-Inquiry?
All healing is a return to love, primarily healthy self-love. That’s because our primary relationship is the one we have with ourselves, not with others, even as children. And our deepest desire to actually know ourselves as loving and loveable, whole and complete, and to simply be ourselves in the world (‘I just want to be me!’) can be realised through self-inquiry. ‘Who am I?’ is the question all of us are asking even if we don’t articulate it as such. ‘Who am I really?’
Self-inquiry will help you find out who you really are, and be your authentic self in the world. We will dive deep into ‘Who am I?’, this fundamental and most personal of questions. Answers to all other questions (including ‘What do I want?’) fall into place when we really get the answer to this one. Knowing the truth of who we are enables us to fully heal the emotional upsets, shocks, traumas and abuses that have held us back in our lives, and to clearly see and dissolve the many ways we sabotage our happiness and fulfilment.
The journey of recovery and awakening to being truly you is both emotional and spiritual (thus ‘psycho-spiritual’). If we are to know our wholeness, both emotional recovery and spiritual recovery are required. They are intertwining paths, for emotional recovery will not deliver us to happiness without spiritual awareness of our truest nature (we can all too easily get stuck in our stories and emotions), yet a spiritual foundation is always unstable without the ability to fully embrace all our thoughts and feelings however hidden, uncomfortable and frightening they may be. An integrated response to life’s challenges, which includes both paths, delivers us to the truth of who we are.
Eventually, when we really get who we are, and allow ourselves to be fully present with all that is going on for us, life becomes increasingly spacious and joyful, intimate and abundant. And so much easier! We feel powerful and liberated. We experience our true aliveness! And everything begins to fall into place …
