New Practitioners

The Open Door is very pleased to be welcoming a number of new practitioners to its team this Autumn.

MARTINA BADOR is a COUPLES COUNSELLOR who has worked with Relate and has experience of dealing with a wide range of issues. She has been working in Brighton for many years and now wishes to extend her practice to Lewes

JO BAKER is a PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC COUNSELLOR specialising in individual therapy with women. She has particular experience in dealing with physical, emotional and sexual abuse as well as recovery from substance abuse and trauma.

SHIRI DOBSON completed four years of TRANSACTIONAL ANALYSIS COUNSELLING AND PSYCHOTHERAPY training in 2017 and she continues to work towards her qualification. She has experience in working with a variety of issues such as: anxiety, depression, self esteem, self harm, suicidal thoughts, relationship difficulties, trauma, bereavement and grief.

JAN EATON specialises in WEIGHT MANAGEMENT and STRESS MANAGEMENT. She is planning to run courses and workshops at The Open Door and she offers one-to-one coaching as well. Her approach is holistic, practical and solution-focused.

HANNA EVANS is offering ACUPUNCTURE and NUTRITION. If appropriate she will sometimes combine acupuncture with nutrition in a single session. She has built up a busy and successful practice in Lewes over many years and we are delighted that she has chosen to bring her expertise to The Open Door. She joined us a few weeks ago.

SARAH HOLLOWAY is offering HOT STONES MASSAGE treatments as well as HOLISTIC MASSAGE. Great for pain relief, deep relaxation and general health and wellbeing.

JO MAGOWAN is a HOMEOPATH. She has recently completed an in-depth 4 year course at the School of Homeopathy and, for a short period only, is willing to offer very reduced-price treatments while she completes her required number of supervised hours. JADE MALONEY is a CLINICAL and HOLISTIC MASSAGE therapist. She has training and experience in a range of techniques including deep tissue treatment, trigger point therapy, stretching and myofascial release.

KATE MINOGUE is an experienced ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE practitioner/teacher. The Alexander Technique is a self-help method of improving postural awareness. Her sessions are fun and gently challenging and can improve balance, mobility, postural muscle tone, coordination, and general functioning, all of which can help to reduce chronic back and neck pain too.

CALUM THOMSON has many years experience as an ACUPUNCTURIST. With a colleague he founded Dragon Acupuncture in Brighton in 2003 which was the first independent ‘multi-bed’ clinic in the UK

KATE THOMSON offers CRANIOSACRAL THERAPY and has also completed a training in TUI NA Chinese acupressure. She has experience of working with babies, children, teenagers, and adults over a wide range of issues including trauma, abuse, autism and aspergers, learning difficulties, IBS, relationships, fertility and pregnancy, post operative care, anxiety, headaches, neck and back pain.
